Common questions

Good questions, straight answers.

What casual jobs are available in Sydney?

Warehousing and pick-pack out west (pickers, packers, storepersons, forklift operators), hospitality across the metro (bartenders, waiters, kitchen hands, cooks and chefs), event crews at the big venues, retail assistants, cleaners and construction support. Filter by suburb, industry, time and pay in the app, or start from the role pages above.

How much do casual jobs in Sydney pay?

The award rate for the role plus 25% casual loading, with weekend, evening and public holiday penalties on top where the award applies them. The table above shows the published entry casual rate for the roles we fill most in Sydney, and the exact total for every shift is shown before you accept it.

Do I need experience to get casual jobs in Sydney?

Not for every role. Pick packing, event set-up, kitchen hand and cleaning shifts regularly go to people starting out. Bar work needs an RSA, forklift work needs a forklift ticket (LF or LO), and construction sites need a White Card. Each role page lists what a worker typically holds, and free courses in the app help you add tickets.

Can I fit casual jobs around uni or another job?

Yes. There are no minimum hours: take one shift a fortnight or ten a week, and set your availability so matching works around your timetable. Plenty of workers build a steady weekly pattern with two or three regular venues through Pools; others dip in for the busy seasons.

Where in Sydney are the shifts?

Wherever our clients are, which today means the warehousing belt from Eastern Creek to Botany, the CBD and inner suburbs for hospitality, the stadiums and the ICC for events, and the Westfield centres for retail. The suburb pages above show what tends to run in each area.
